I noticed Massey Ferguson Has a MF 3600 series tractor already on the market seems very
similar to the new MF 4600 series why not just bring the 3600 series to North America.
I believe the 3600 is made in Europe not Japan , maybe its cheaper to build in Japan!

Well anyway good day

The 3600 is being phased out due to quality issues, they were sold in NA, but do to major issues, they were not being sold by many dealers. It was italian built, with a SISU engine. The same engine will be going into the 4600 series.

The 3600 would have been a good tractor if not for the power shuttle issues. They are nice to run, good size and well featured. Hopefully the 4600 is in the same ballpark.

Well the next question is what will replace the MF 2600 utility 38-74 hp tractor?
I figured it would be the 3600 series model but what now? :confused3:
Maybe a MF 4600 series utility tractor made in Japan! :
They need something in that hp range no thrills model.

Any ideas ?

I think the smaller 2600 series will be here a few more years. With the new 4600 series there will still be a gap in the 45-55 PTO hp range where the 1600 series is too light but the 4600 is to large. Maybe when the tier 4 compacts get here there will be a beefed up compact to hit that market. A No frills 50hp utility tractor would be nice. Like the old 461 & 563 tractor.

Talked to a MF dealer (not local) who tells me that the 2600HD tractors are a good design but the quality control had been a warranty nightmare. Really stupid stuff like shipping transmissions with engine oil in them. He also tells me that all the dealers are amped about the 4600 series.
