Have a friend that inherited his family's 230. I think I'm correct on the year. What would this tractor be worth? It has a little over 400 hours and original paint. Thank you as I'm trying to help him sell it.

i think it would be worth $3500 to $4500.

Really? The old Fords are worth 7-9k in that kind of condition. Are they really that less valued?

some old brands of tractors dont have much of a re sale value.but with low hours it might be worth $6000.

That makes sense but Massey is such a good tractor I'm kinda surprised. I have a newer 461 and love it.

That being said the old Fords are so easy to drive and work on then maybe that's why.

The Masseys and fords are both easy to work on. The Perkins in the MF will sip fuel compared to the Fords. However MF has a lousy resale value. I think that it is due to their smaller dealer network. AGCO use to have dealers all over the US. I grew up in a MF and Ford area, however now my nearest MF dealer is a 40 minute drive when 20 years ago it was 15 minutes.
