MF GC1720 w/ DL95 & CB65
Hello Everyone,

I am looking to purchase a new SCUT for the home property about 5 acres. Primarily used for snow removal, mowing, removing stumps, grading lawn, making trails, moving firewood, digging fire pits etc...

Narrowed down my choices to MF GC1710 vs. 1720 and Kubota BX25D currently. MF GC1720 top choices followed by the GC1710 and BX25D being third.

I have been hunting for pricing for these SCUTS and wanted to get a price check from the members.

After hours of hunting and a test drive I found these prices. Not sure if people got cash vs. finance pricing on these. However, I managed to get a average and figure out what number to shoot a offer for somewhere between $17500-18000 just for the tractor.

2015 GC 1720

3/7 $18500
4/18 $16500
5/7 $18200
7/18 $17000 w/ MMM
10/10 $17900

AVG - $17620

Please post what you got your GC MF1700's within the last year. Greatly appreciate it. :dance1:

If you haven't already, I'd check out TractorHouse online- some dealers do list prices and it might be a good place to start. There's a couple in the $16,000 range for the GC1710. Only one listing for the GC1720 as I write- $22,000.

While you're waiting for numbers . . I ended up with the GC1715 . . . and a number of people were saying it was a waste of the extra money for the higher level 15 vs the 05. I believe the EXACT same dufference are in the 20 vs 10.

I'll just share with you that the higher models in the gc lineup give you more than a $ 1200 or $1300 perceived difference.

The gc1720 seat has both a coil support AND a spring suspension which is more confortsble on bumps and smoothness. In addition they look similar is color and "general" shape but their support and width are different. In other words . seats are a bug difference.

Extra work light is nice for pre wiring purposes but not a big deal.

Engine differences are a couple horse power and really shows up in power at the higher rpms.

There are significant regional differences in pricing, correlate pricing from the forum with location to get a better idea of what type of price you might be able to get in your area. Also be aware that pricing changes on a regular basis in the form of rebates and specials, and also depends on financing details or cash purchase.

On the Massey website, the GC1720 lists for $21,686. One of my local dealers lists it for $19,590 on their website, or ~10% off list. There may be some wiggle room beyond that, but not much here in CT...

Yeah I am mostly wanting the GC 1720 for all of those small perks currently. Just want to pick the correct tractor for my property and work load that is the hard part. Because certain tasks a smaller tractor is better than larger and vice versa. But it easy to upsell yourself into something larger than you need and have it too big for the work you will be doing the most.

Yeah, right now the closest I found is a deal for is $19000 and 0% for 84 months or $17900 with 3.99% for 72 months for a GC1720 with no other attachments here in NE Ohio. They are hard to find since they come in batches from Japan and sometimes sit in the shipyard before going to dealers. But the dealer has to pay for shipping to location which turn into cost/profit margins for dealer and buyer.

Well I decided to go with a MF GC 1720 it should be getting here in the next few days. Has to go to the dealer for pre check and get a diverter valve installed front for a custom 60" FEL mounted snow blade with hydraulic angulation. I will post more info regarding the snow blade for the FEL. It will not be a quick attach but a pin mounted device. I might install a dedicated 3rd function in the future if I need it, but with GC 1720 getting 3rd function is a bit more tricky and did not want to run more lines under the tractor with limited space and didn't want to chance have them get snagged, plus its only for angulation. Since it will be FEL mounted I can move and stack snow wherever I need it on my property. But can also put the loader bucket on and move it around.

I got it from goffs in Ct, family owned which I like. Salesmen is Justin. Seem like really nice people, don't have any long term review as I just bought it. mistakes have been made no biggy. But so far they are being honorable and making everything right. That to me is worth everything to do future business with people.

Tell em Niko sent you!
