I am looking at purchasing a Massey Ferguson 135 (petrol/gas) which has a quick detach front end loader (FEL) which currently has a hay fork attachment. Whilst the tractor appears to be in good condition (apparently engine rebuilt 950 hours and 8 year ago), I did not on inspection that the FEL drops within a few minutes of the engine being turned off.

Is this normal (I noted no such issue with the 3 point linkage) or indicative of a hydraulic leak. I could see no visible hydraulic leaks.

Also I note that the brakes required standing on to pull it up. Is this something that requires simple adjustment or likely to be more serious.

Also the steering was very heavy with the FEL attached, although given no power steering I can understand this. I don't suppose there is an aftermarket power steering bolt on system for these?
