My new 1959 TO 35 stretching this morning. I think this tractor will make my n9 fill unloved as I use this thing for every little job now. <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=292960"/> Are there any other tractors talked about here other than the Massey 135? I looked at most of the threads here and it seems most are about that 1 type of tractor.

Bomez, sorry to see you go. Hear me out first. The reason there isn't many other post in this area is simple because it was just installed recently and most of the membership probably doesn't know it exist. The administrator Muhammad moved all messages he could find that fit the theme. There are other tractors that could post. In fact anyone with a tractor can post here. It is measly themed to be able to quickly go to an area of interest just like any other forum. I thought your original comment was meant as a jest because you saw only 135 owners posting. So my reply was simply in jest. Sorry your so easily offended when the title says it all. Good day.

Relax. I think he was just trying to tell you that this is the correct place to discuss the TO-35 tractor. In fact, I'd wager that if you took the time to read many of the Massey 135 threads, you'd find them to be quite informative about your tractor because the TO-35 is almost identical to the early versions of the Massey 135 tractor, except for a bit of sheet metal here and there.

I'm still trying to find his "copy and paste". He must have taken it with him. I hate to see anyone leave with a bad taste in their mouth. Especially for a simple misunderstanding where no slurs or nastiness, rocks thrown. I'm sure your aware this area was created from a suggestion to sort out modern MF's from classic and vintage ones. The message title description says it all. Mostly overlooked. The new member welcome area is a perfect example. Their first post is ( in many post,but not all) about a problem instead of saying hello. I overlook it and give them a welcome. The moderators will move the message if it becomes off topic intensive.

BTW, he opened the door to point out the description when he made the comment that this area appears as a 135 area. I, you or anyone else really has nothing to apologize about. I guess there wasn't enough engagement on his comment about his TO35. For reference purposes, for those who don't know. The O stands for Overseas export version in TO = Tractor Overseas

Go to the main menu of the forums and click on My Home tool and there you will find the area to turn off notification by email. Take care Dan. -robert

Personally, I think the forum name says it all. Seriously, what's not to understand about "Massey Ferguson Classic/Vintage"?

Regardless, I also hate to see anyone leave like this, especially over such a seemingly innocent misunderstanding. But if he wants to leave, it's his decision to make. I only know that I've had my fill of misunderstandings or arguments, and would much rather talk about tractors.

Also, if you look at my post you will see that I state I have read most post and was asking why so many post about one type of tractor. Clearly this has taken a turn for the worst and my post was not worded in a way that anyone could understand. My post was written in "Massey Ferguson Classic/Vintage" and I was asking only about the tractors in this section. Seems like the 135 is the only one talked about in this section.

The "Massey Ferguson Classic/Vintage" forum was recently created by the admin of TBN as an offshoot of the "Massey Ferguson Owning/Operating" forum. After creating the "Massey Ferguson Classic/Vintage" forum, the admin then moved a number of threads to it, with many of them being about the Massey 135 tractor, but the vast majority of previous threads about the Massey 35, Massey 135, and other vintage Massey Ferguson and Ferguson tractors still reside in the "Massey Ferguson Owning/Operating" forum, probably because the admin didn't have time to move them all.

For example: When my own Massey 135 tractor restoration thread was created earlier last year, it was created in the "Massey Ferguson Owning/Operating" forum, but was moved after the new forum was created, probably because it was among the more acive threads at the time.

As I explained in an earlier post. This message area "Massey Ferguson Classic?Vintage is relatively new to TractorByNet. Most vintage tractor talk was limited to the Vintage Tractor OTHER catagory. I suggested to Muhammad (owner/administrator) that could we have a Classic Vintage area in the Massey Ferguson area. Before I could make a cup of coffee it was done. He migrated as many messages as he thought appropriate. He missed alot of Vintage tractors. So this area looked 135 dominant. I assure you it is not. Example of that can be seen as owners are discovering the knowledgebase here and settling in. I or anyone can't control who or who doesn't post here. Many of use own both diesel and gas versions of 135's. Now we're seeing european models being discussed. We have a strong Australian presence which uses the UK version.

The model 35 and the TO35 are widely known as reliable work horses. The engines are very similar so us 135's owners can offer advice based on our own tractors.

I love seeing the vintage tractors and what owners are doing to them. Some doing a full restoration. Some upgrading them for relaibility. Some giving them some paint and working them like they should be. I haven't seen the Fergusons or Massey Harris and other older brands yet but they are welcome to post if they wish.

My original reply to you was just a generic reply I've done many times descibing this forum. It was not meant to put you or your tractor down, nor was it meant to insult your intelligence. I didn't take an additude stance nor did anyone here. Untill you get to know us, don't judge us. We're freindly folk that will go out of our way sometimes to provide info you would normally have to retrieve out of a purchased manual. We all love our hobby. There are two or more uf us restoring our tractors to different levels. I would compare my refurbish in the car world as "a nice driver" but not a trailer queen.

I saw the picture of your 35 with the FEL and Hoe on the back. Post some more pictures. We love pictures. We share our ideas on how we work on them trying to make it easier to do next time. Maybe, just maybe it might help someone repair thiers. Lot's of good reading material here if you've got the time. Look around. Lot's of interesting topics other than tractors too. I try to stay away from the political debates, but catch myself lurking just to get p!ssed off. So I refrain. There one users here Shona down in Australia that knows Masseys better than his grandma. That's just one example. We are indeed a friendly bunch. Stick around and prove me wrong if you can. Take care. -robert

I think the TO was the precursor to the 135, so they are a bit older and probably fewer of them. Still lots of similarities. Keep talking about them and I will read them.

The TO-35 is not only a precursor to the MF 135, it's the precoursor to the MF35 and a precursor to Massey Ferguson brand!

It's a Harry Ferguson & Co tractor and if memory serves me correctly, it first came out in 1957 in two models, the Standard and the DeLuxe.
