Massey Ferguson TO35
My new 1959 TO 35 stretching this morning. I think this tractor will make my n9 fill unloved as I use this thing for every little job now.
Are there any other tractors talked about here other than the Massey 135? I looked at most of the threads here and it seems most are about that 1 type of tractor.

Re: Massey Ferguson TO35
If you read the description of the message area it says. "Discuss pre-1970s Massey Ferguson tractors and equipment in this forum" If you tractor falls into that catagory, then buy all means let's discuss it. There does seem to be a huge 135 following though, so it's no suprise there are alot of 135 post.

Are there any other types? LOL. I have 2 MF245s but there are so many similarities to the 135 that I read them all.

Re: Massey Ferguson TO35
Gotta agree with you Bonez, until I saw your post, I was beginning to think this must be strictly a 135 forum. I fully appreciate your love for your tractor. I have a TO 35 with a Standard diesel, I bought it used back in 1985 for next to nothing because it had an engine that was "wore out". It had a bad case of blow-bye and required a stiff shot of starting fluid if you ever hoped to start it. Plus it had a crack in the engine block and leaked a quart of oil out about every 10 hours. Despite those 'minor' shortcomings, it was an extremely functional and reliable tractor, Put probably 2 to 300 hr a year on it for another 25 years before I finally got around to overhauling the engine in it. The nice thing is everything is still available for a complete overhaul (except camshaft bearings) after all these years. I even was able to find a used engine block as the crack was too bad to weld. (blocks are getting hard to come by). Now it is close to perfect again and I still prefer to use it over my newer "modern" tractor. I love my wife dearly, but this ole TO 35 is a close second.

Re: Massey Ferguson TO35
I think the TO was the precursor to the 135, so they are a bit older and probably fewer of them. Still lots of similarities. Keep talking about them and I will read them.

"The Kid"If you read the description of the message in my post you will find that a 1959 TO 35 is in fact a pre-1970s Massey Ferguson tractor.

Re: Massey Ferguson TO35
Relax. I think he was just trying to tell you that this is the correct place to discuss the TO-35 tractor. In fact, I'd wager that if you took the time to read many of the Massey 135 threads, you'd find them to be quite informative about your tractor because the TO-35 is almost identical to the early versions of the Massey 135 tractor, except for a bit of sheet metal here and there.

I use copy and paste and I am told to relax. Let me tell you I have looked at his post for a very long time before I made a reply and when I use his own words I am told to relax. I see how new members are treated around here and why I have found many complaints. This will be my last post in your forum. Please have an Admin remove my account so I do not get anymore email from here.
