This is my first tractor and I'm having trouble identifying the year of this tractor since the serial number does not match anything I can find on the Internet. It looks like the original paint color was an industrial yellow. Does this model match up to an industrial version of an MF35? Anyone have an idea of what year? Thanks in advance

Welcome to TractorByNet. Can we see some picture of the tractor? Judging from the yellow peeking out of the red. This could be an industrial model which has a different sequence of numbers from agricultural models. Those numbers on your I.D. Tag doesn't show up as agricultural.

That's where I was struggling. The model number seems so far off from anything I've found. Here are some additional pictures.

It's not a real tag. And that's a fact. Numbers are fake. Nice copy though. -kid

The MF35 had embosed lettering and numbering over the entire tag. The embossing cannot be faked. The tags lettering is actually high pressure pressed into the metal. The backside is flat except for the serial number. The lettering and numbers are etched or stenciled on yours. Here is a picture of a real tag. Your tractor has a Z134 engine. The first two letters in your serial number should be SF(G) represents a single clutch. Here is one stripped down for comparison. -kid

I dont know if its a fake or not. Other than the excess of numbers, it looks an awful lot like mine. Heres mine for comparison.

Does this look like an MF35? Are there any other ways to try and identify the year other than the tag? Let me know and I'll try and focus the camera on those areas better when I take pictures today.
