oil filter

aybody know what the part number is on and oil filter for a 68 mdl 135 with a z-145 engine in it . i am trying to find out for a friend at the deer lease.

The oil filters on the Z engines don't do a whole lot as they are only a bypass filter. There is one 1/8" diameter hole going into it, and one 1/16" diameter hole going out. It is not a full flow oil system like your car. or truck would have where all the oil gets filtered before it goes to the bearings. It's more important that you keep good clean oil in it (not on it).

Hope that i don't have a lot of oil "ON" it. But i agree keeping the oil changed is important and we do this pretty regular. My problem is/was that tractor is in the woods and hunting buddy is tring to get filter before he gets there and has to make a trip back to town. he is outside of center and i am in houston
