- 1959 MF-65 sold, 2007 Jinma 554 diesel.
If your tractors hours are real then you have loads of life left in it.
I sold a 1959 MF65 a few years back with almost 12,000 and the hour meter was still working. The tractor ran fine and was silent almost, and exhaust was clear after I reset the valves and timing etc.
You should get lots of service out of that tractor and the FEL looks to be pretty stout too.
Wash the rear end out with diesel - ran the tractor back and forth a few yards to splash the diesel around to wash out the crud. Drain and refill with the proper oil after letting it drain overnight. That is what I did and it made a huge difference.
Anyway, I think you got a good buy for $1,000 plus some preventative maintenance.:thumbsup:
