Hello Everyone,

Its been a long time since I've posted or maybe I've never posted at all, its been that long since I've visited...I generally don't have problems with my equipment! Has anyone ever ran across this before? I'm having trouble with my replacement fuel cap for my diesel MF135. The original non vent style cap was letting diesel slosh all over the outside of the tank and onto the engine when I hit bumps or make turns. I got an identical replacement cap which didn't correct the problem. I got some cork & rubber gasket material to build a thicker gasket and the gentleman at the store suggested that I try bending the ears/tabs that lock the cap down to try to tighten the seal. I guess I'll try bending tabs if the gasket buildup doesnt work. I'm just surprised bout having to tweak the fuel cap at all. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

Sure it's the cap? You have the sender for the fuel gauge there to, have seen that the tank has cracked around the cap flenge.
