Default 1528 oil filter

Went to change the oil filter on my 1528 today for the first time. What a PIA to get to that filter. any tips from others as to the best way to get the filter off without disassembling the thing? Cant get a strap wrench in there as not enough room to turn. Any suggestions?

Well if it is in the same spot as the 1523, goto Wally world, and get one of those plastic oil filter wrenches, looks like a cap that slips over the end of the filter, and has a hole for a ratchet/extension to go into, put a short extension on it, and you are good to go!!

WIll

I did the same. Got the right oil filter cap type wrench that fits over the end.
