Default I cant find-

I cant find the sight glass for the hydro oil on the rear of my 2310. Do I need to take the backhoe off to see it?

Yes, the Hoe has to come off to get a good look at the sight glass

It's not the best to view. If you get on your knees & look through the bottom by the boom, it's easier to see. Also the lift arm is usually in the way to a clear view.

Once you find the sight glass, you will be able to check it with the backhoe on. It is not easy to see with the backhoe on, but it can be done. I make a piont of showing new owners the sight glass when the tractor is dropped off, or at the dealership. If you can not find it, go to your dealer and have him show you it on a tractor there, even if it is a 2400 or 2600, the sight glass is located in the same place, just easier to see on the tractor only models.

MFRED and northwoodpower is correct you can see the sight glass with out taking off the BH. I don't take off my BH to check mine.
