I chose the mf 1531 over the Kubota 3030 and 3200 because it had more
hp, both engine and
PTO. It was cheaper too. I was concerned about the lower ground clearance - 1531 has a stated 10 in clearance vs 14 for the Kubota - but it turned out to be a non event. The 1531 is the most powerful for its trimmer size. It has brush hogged up a steep pond bank, down a hill, and over ruts with no problem.
