Are you using Permatran or Amsoil in the hydro?? Which Amsoil? | I put Amsoil ATH (5W-30 Hydraulic oil) in my HST, and can't be happier with the performance. No difference warm, but almost zero warm-up required on those bitter cold snowblowing days that are now a bad memory. Running Amsoil SVG (75W-90) gear oil in the front end.

Running Amsoil SVG (75W-90) gear oil in the front end. | Same here, I'm running ATH, 5W-30, Synthetic Tractor Hydraulic/Transmission Fluid, in the M-F Tractor Hydrostatic Drive and front Axle and have been very happy with it's performance especially in very cold weather.

I have been using (ATH) in the transmission for 3 years. I still give the tractor a while to warm up. But, I feel better about it when I have to hurry and use it cold. I have noticed no performance difference vs the Permatran. |
