Foton 404

Im looking at selling my Massey Ferguson 1260 and looking to buy a new Foton 404 four wheel drive with a cab. I dont know that much about them other than they seem to be an alright tractor and the price is certainly in my price range. What Im concerned about is the tractors track record and parts availability. If anyone out there has owned one for some time maybe let me know what you think of these tractors. Thanks Guys

I would keep the 1260 and put a soft cab on it! OR buy a good used Tractor! The price will drop 40-60% off that Chinese tractor as soon as you drive it off the lot and parts will be a pain down the road to get.

Thanks, will certainly consider that. I have no complaints with the 1260 just that it doesnt have a cab and a small PTO problem. The chinesse tractors look impressive but will they hold out in the long run say a couple thousand hours or so. I had a 1986 Kubota B 8200 HST with close to 4000 hrs on it and the only money i spent on it was a few batteries and oil changes and service. Great tractor but expensive to upgrade to a newer model. The reason a cab is so important is that I move a fair amount of round bales to feed livestock and when the temp. drops to -25 or 30 it kinda takes the fun out of it. Chinese tractors...The first time something goes wrong, you will be cussin that **** cheap Chinese junk.
