Default 135 seat

Has any one put a aftermarket seat on their 135?
Right now I'm just sitting on the pan, not very comfortable. My dad put a aftermarket on his and I don't like it. It is too high and I feel off balance.
My tractor has the old curved piece of steel for a bracket, but his had the fancy coil spring frame.
He gave me the suspension part of his old seat and I would like to get the replacement for that, it is too expensive to end up with the wrong thing if I order it though.
I looked up the price on that suspension frame and it is over $750.00 !!!!

I can order the seat alone for about $80.00.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Mine is pretty shot too on my 135. When I do replace it, I wouldnt mind sitting alittle higher. A few inches at least higher, im still getting used to the clutch style as compared to my ford. Seems like it will be easier to use the clutch if I sat higher up because my legs are longer. I havent looked at replacement seats yet, maybe I can find a good used one when the time comes. Good Luck TB

I bought a seat from agri-supply company here in NC for my 135 to replace my old seat after the cushion was worn out. Should have just replaced the cushions. My new seat wants to wobble and and like you say out of balance.Have a 100 dollars in the new seat and feel like i have got to get my moneys worth out of it. When it wears put im going back to my old seat with new cushions.

I was talking to Dad the other night and said something to him about his seat being uncomfortable and he said he took it to a shop to get the lift worked on and when he picked it up the mechanic said " by the way, your seat was on upside down so I fixed it"

Maybe that is why I didn't like it.
I don't know how it could be upside down, I think he meant the cushion or something. I didn't get to try it out yet.
