Default Massey Ferguson 148 Enquiries

Hi,

My name is Michael and I have recently purchased a Massey Ferguson 148 in very good condition for $8,000 plus delivery

Serial No 600 588 M
Engine No 37111500/2

It has the usual gear Perkins AD3.152 3 cylinder engine, 8 speed manual, Round guards & ROPS

I have been searching on the internet and the MF148 was what they call a 鉄uper Spec tractors with a spacer between the gearbox and rear axle, allowing fitting of a safety cab and is meant to feature independent PTO, Multi Power, spring suspension seat and high capacity hydraulics pump

My MF148 has everything but no Multi Power ?

How many MF148 were made and exported to Australia ?

What year is my tractor ?

Why did Massey Ferguson produce a 3 cylinder engine for the MF135 & MF148, when all the 100 Series tractors had 4 cylinder engine

Any information would be much appreciated

Thankyou ? Michael
