The PO welded a smoothing plate onto the teeth of the BH and I want to remove the plate but do not want to cut off anything that should stay. Here are some pic's, thanks.

Don't try and salvage the plate. Use your torch and burn alongside each tooth thru the weld/blade.
Those look like replaceable teeth (hard to tell in the pic), what about if you knocked off the teeth that are welded to the blade and replaced them with new. That way you'd have the blade if you ever needed it again....Mike

If you have an angle grinder, cut the plate free next to each tooth. Torch will work as well, just leave things a little ragged, but that will wear away fairly fast.

I often use a flat plate on the back hoe. Burned a hole in the outer teeth and bolt it on. It is handy for cleaning out very loose soil and some smoothing jobs.

Thanks for the replies. I will probably bolt the plate to some teeth before I cut it off.
