I am new to tractors, having purchased a 1981 Massey 230 with the Perkins, only 1500hrs on it. I do have a basic understanding of hydraulics, though, this tractor mystifies me.
It has an Ezee-On loader with it, but I can't seem to figure out how to run the loader and the hitch at the same time. I have been through the various settings on the draft and hitch levers but it doesn't seem to have enough jam to run them both. If I leave a blade on the hitch, there's not enough power to run the loader. If I want to run the loader, I need to remove the blade from the hitch and chain the hitch in place to build up enough back pressure to run the loader. When I go to raise the loader, the hitch comes up until it meets resistance from the chain, then the loader starts to move.
Does anyone out there run a loader with stuff on the hitch? If so, could I see a picture of how you've got your hydraulics rigged?
Currently, there is only one hydraulic line out to my loader, through a diverter, through the loader controls and back into the transmission housing. The diverter really only functions as an on-off, since it only has one line in and one line out.
I would really like to get this sorted out, it's a pain removing the blade to run the loader, ideally, I'd like to be able to used them both, not at the exact same time mind you, but without having to add or remove attachments.
I'll try to figure out how to post some pictures to help with my descriptions.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers
