I have a 1964 MF 135 diesel with multipower.
I use Tractor Supply Traveller Universal hydraulic fluid that meets MF's M-1129 specification, which is what's called out in the MF135 operator manual. The multipower system uses that same fluid that you pour into the transmission/hydraulic/rear end of the tractor.

You can use engine oil, it will be fine, or multi purpose farm oil (TOU) or tractor trans/hydraulic fluid.allwill be ok, however not recommended to use Gear oil ie EP90 or similar.

G'day you should not use engine oil in a multipower trans as additives in the oil are not good for the clutch plates in the MP, having said that if you have got a straight trans without MP you can use engine oil it will not harm your hyd pump, they spec 80w90 originally for the straight g/box and it did not kill the pump so a 15w30/40 is not going to worry your pump.
