I don;t have the lash spec but there is an easy to set them. turn the motor the direction of normal rotation, on each cylinder watch the valves, as the exh fully closes set the intake and as the intake just starts to open set the exh.

with out seeing it i will guess it is from front exh, int, int, exh, exh, int, int, exh. you can tell by looking at the exh manifold. if it is like i stated it will have one port at the front one large in the center and one at the rear and the intake will go between the exh ports. this is the most common.

thanks for all the info, but i need more. can someone tell me about propane motors? For example, how much presure from the propane bottle does it take to start the engine? Does it matter how big the bottle is? Any info would be appreciated.

As long as there is fuel in LP tank you will have pressure, but can vary greatly with temperature, 150-200 PSI on a hot day, as low as 30-50 PSI on a cold day. If regulator is working correctly LP carb/mixer will control fuel vapor. Best to start cold engine on vapor valve first, then turn on liquid valve when warmed up, turn vapor valve off when warm. Can run on vapor only but will not have full power when needed, may frost over tank as pressure drops when pulling hard on vapor valve. This applies to all tank sizes. Find a copy of owners manual, will explain best way to operate your model.
