If a tractor has a bad pilot bearing how can you tell will it make noise thanks steve ot's a disel engine

G'day steve.
If there is a noise in the area of the clutch it is normally the Release bearing If the clutch adjustment is neglected at any time the release bearing will run constantly and with the heat from the clutch will dump all the grease in the bearing and it will start to SQUEEK and rattle,The pilot bearing will also make a noise if it is dry and in advanced stage of wear will make it hard to select the pto and you will find that the pto does not stop turning.
