Diagrams as such are usually in your operators manual or mechanics service manuals. If you don't have one you can goto www.agcopubs.com and order them. They would increase your tractors worth when passing it to the next owner. and.. put some light on your darkness. :)
Here's a snippet of thier cost from thier site.

Thanks for the reply. Bought new switches and got all of the lights going. I just bought the tractor with low hours[700]. It hasn"t been used much just been sitting.

Looks great. I also picked up a 700 hour 231 this summer. It has a new bush hog loader as well. Looking for a plow and rotary cutter to match.
The tractor is in very good condition condition but I don't know if I can be happy with a 2WD tractor. I have a YM2002D Yanmar that I have owned for several years and I am spoiled to the 4WD.
I got everything working on the tractor as new but the fuel gauge. I almost sold it to a guy the other day but I am looking forward to using it some to see if I can be satisfied with a 2wd. It runs and handles so well that I hate to let it go. A new tractor this size is so expensive it's hard for a hobbist like myself to justify the expense.
If you can afford two tractors and one of them is 4wd, you will find plenty of uses where 2wd will be just fine. Remember they farmed with 2wd for years and did just fine. This old iron is great, I would not underestimate it by any means.
