how to tell year

I have gc2300. not sure of the year. how does one find out?

normally I would say to go to TractorData.com - information on all makes and models of tractors and look it up. They have the serial number breakdown on many models. However, when I checked yours, the SN info is not there. I would say call a dealer, they should be able to tell you.

Go to agcopartsbooks.com, sign in as a guest user in bottom right (unless you have a username & password) and put your serial # in under machine/chassis information. It will give you the year and date sold. Pretty sure it'll tell you about updates and if they've been performed.

Hoogy-- as usual, Ray nailed it. Second letter of the SN tells the story:
n = 2004
p = 2005
r = 2006
s = 2007
t = 2008
