gc1720 headlight replacement

anyone know what type of headlight is used? I'm looking on our operator manual and I cannot find anything for replacement.

Are you saying it's a glass, bayonet base bulb?

That doesn't sound like a headlight bulb.

I dont know what a bayonet is. But it is a small glass bulb, i brought it to autozone and compared it to the small bulbs i found thier. It looked exactly like a 904 bulb found on automotive cars, like for turn signals, brake lights etc.

Ill take a picture of it when i get gome from work if its not pouring rain again. The only writing on the bulb i found when i took it off said "life" on it.

The bulb you have, is indeed a glass bayonet base. And, it's only 15 watts.

I have never seen a 15 watt headlight, or one with a glass bayonet base.

Is it possible there are other bulbs in there? And, this is not the actual headlight bulb?

A 921 bulb, is the closest to it I see. It's 18 watts.

my manual says 13 watts a bulb. We have 4 headlights on the gc series all. You can also compre it to a 194.

Ray what do the lights look like on your tractor?

Interesting. My GC2310 uses a metal-base bayonet (push in, twist to lock) Toshiba 1073 bulb, 23 watts. (Oops..big file. Sorry. I'll do a second smaller one.)

While talking about headlights . . A poster mentioned on another thread that his dealer switched his headlights to led. Anybody know how that is done ?


Related to this headlight topic . . Advanced Auto has a support call in for their stores when it comes to tractor parts . . filtets and bulbs etc. Maybe verify with an Advanced Auto or try Everything Batteries + Bulbs.
