Some of our tractors suffer from cracked plastic steering wheels likely from sitting outdoors in the elements. My M-F 231 wheel looks like junk. I'm thinking about ways to repair it and restore the cracked spokes. As for the wheel, there are kits for stitching on a new leather cover (~$11.00). Might try that.

Any ideas out there? I'm listening:)

Perhaps try hot glue to fill the gaps and a sharp blade to trim flush.
Occasionally I have seen black hot glue sticks that would do a nice job,

I will paint the repaired wheel. Don't think paint will stick to hot glue.

Another thing that should work (and it takes paint) is BONDO, AKA body filler.

Mix, smear it into cracks and sand prime and paint to choice.

If it wants to droop and sag simply wrap with wax paper until it sets up and then sand/grind to shape.
