B2710 and 72\" Belly Mower Vibration

Finally had a chance to use the mower--wow, 72" is the way to cut grass! At any rate, getting a significant vibration from the front of the mower when driving forward down hill or sitting still. Anyone else have similar experience??

Checked clearances and everything looks fine. Took it off and put it back on again, no effect. Appreciate any thoughts here. Thanks in advance.

M. Sullivan.
I had a problem like that once but on my finish mower, but it was do to one of the blades loosening up.
I hadn't notice some debris as I put the blade back on from sharpening in which loosen up.
Maybe check to see if your blades are tight, also check and see if you have damage a blade.
I would be most interested in what you will find.
Take Care.

Have the same set-up,have ran over 60 hrs. of mowing with no problems,Yes,I would check the blades, and also ck. the oil level in the gear-box of the deck.Plug is on the side of the gear-box,oil should be right at bottom edge of drain hole when oil is cold.Only other thing it might be would be a bad u-joint in your deck drive-shaft. Let us know what you find out.

Check the position of the three blades in relation to each other. The manual for the mower should include a diagram of the underside of the mower showing the recomended position of each blade in relation to its neighbor. Though not addressed specifically in the manual I assume that there are some balancing issues and that the prefered blade orientation shown in the manual may help minimize blade vibration. I believe that the longer blades, 24" in the 72" mower, are inherently more prone to vibration than the 20" blades used in the 60" mower.
