I am one returning to the roots of Country life, after being forced into retirement by health matters. I have come into five acres of undeveloped ground in North Florida, and I am making it my Home (I am a native Floridian).
The night sky is sure beautiful where there is no glare of lights from the cities; the heavens declare the Glory of God!
Hey! I'm only three miles from the Suwanee River, and I have a good boat!

My 1981 Kubota L305 is my workhorse and serious toy.
She's battered and rusty after 34 years, and I have had to fabricate some repair parts myself; but she's been getting the work done for a year, now. Silly me has even learned to prime the Diesel system after running out of fuel!

She has carried Tools and Supplies, Field Fencing and Fence Posts (as well as Gates), and has been the anchor for stretching my fencing. She has uprooted a good number of small trees; and hauled goodly loads. This old man could not have gotten it done without her. I recently added a Box Blade with Root Tines for Landscaping.

The right tools make the day, and a day of accomplishment makes for a good kind of tired.

Had lotsa Rabbits, some Chickens, and the occasional Porker.
Now cutting out a Homestead on 5 acres in North Dixie County.
Building a Hydroponic Fertigation growhouse, and have a Boer buck & Boer doe, two young kids, and a rescue Nubian doe.
