My lower Pto seal on mythe 1531 had a big enough leak where I ended up running the transmission dry. It stopped dead in the field. After a while of holding down the petal, it would slowly move while making some pretty nasty noises.
My question is, what usually gives out first on a hydrostatic...
I have a NH 1725 that started making a (hard to describe) metallic,vibrating noise that is progressively getting worse. It only happens in 3rd gear while moving. The sound almost totally goes away when you take it out of 4wd.
I am thinking it may be coming from the drive line or front gear box...
I am trying to do some preventative maintainence on my tractor but all of a sudden I cant open the hood. The latch moves back and forth but won't release the hood. Is there anyone with the same tractor that can open the hood and post a picture of the assembly, so I have a clue as to how to...
