Buying a trailer- choices

I need a trailer. A friend has a 16' car hauler type trailer- no rails, wood floor, ramps that store under the rear, bumper hitch and brakes. It's wide enough for a pickup. I've hauled my tractor and a full-size Bronco on it and really like it. Very well made also. One dilema- with the...

    baler fit on a trailer?

Does anyone know if an International model 46 baler will fit on a 16' flat-bed, car-hauler type tandem axle trailer? I'm concerned with the width. I'll be picking it up tomorrow. The owner is 7 hrs away and says it's 8' wide, but I find it hard to believe and can't call him until 7pm tonight...

    Loaded tires dilema

I have unloaded turf tires on my Kubota B2150. I mostly use the tractor for mowing my 3-acre lawn. When I bought the tractor, it came with loaded R-1 (ag) type tires. I use the R-1's for loader work. Also, the in-laws have a 150-acre "recreation" farm. Before I trailer my tractor there, I...

Rake Ground driven side delivery rake

I have 4 acres of lawn. We have a garden and many trees and shrubs to mulch around. My dad has always hand raked his 3 acres and used the grass for mulch. I'm think of doing it faster on my land (and maybe his since we are close). My question is: Will a ground driven side delivery rake be...

    Sloppy tie rod ends?

I've seen a few posts about sloppy tie-rod ends. If you have sloppy tie rod ends (especially on older equipment and trucks), check out Luke's Link. It's basically a rebuild kit for the ball joint. If parts are no longer available or cost...

    piping for air in shop

We talked a little about 2 months or so ago about running air lines in the shop/garage/shed. I got the impression from all the posts that type "L" copper pipe is the best for this. Well, I'm ready to run some lines! One question though: Do the fitting need to be brazed or can they just be soft...

    rear remotes for a B2150

Does anyone have rear remotes on their Kubota B2150? Does anyone know what parts are required?

instructions and diagrams for check chains

djradz posted his experience with check chains. I did some research on check chains a while back and have some instructions and diagrams to post. I don't remember exactly where I got this information, but I'll post it here. See the next post.

Mowing air pressure in turfs for mowing

I purchased turf tires for my Kubota B2150 for mowing duties. I've mowed twice now, and the ride seems really harsh. The rear tires are aired up to the maximum on the sidewall (14psi). Is this too much? How low can I safely go? BTW, the rears are 13.6-16, 4 ply tires.

    Swiss Army Tractor

I used my new bucket teeth this weekend and my father-in-law's old roll-over box blade. When I came home, I had to mow my 3-1/2 acre lawn. I took some pics before I did the switch-over. BTW, that's a Kubota B2150 & LA350 FEL. I have no idea who made the blade.

used brush cutter-what to look for

There's a used brush cutter sitting at the end of someone's driveway near me. The sign says: "$275". It's been repainted, so I know to look closer, but what to look for? If we flip it sideways and the gearbox feels good, what else do I look for? Can I get a good used cutter for around $200?

tooth bar parts for the do-it-yourselfers

I've been wanting a tooth bar a while now but just could not give up the approximately $250 for a 48" bar. I have a welder and a machine shop at my disposal, so I try to fabricate most things I need. I have more time than money right now, so I set out to research how I was going to make my own...

    box blade cutting edge change

My father-in-law has an old (and I mean old) 5' roll-over type box blade/scarifier. The cutting edges are beyond worn out. I will need two (forward and back side) edges. Where can i get edges? Will most 5' edges be drilled the same, or will I have to drill new holes? The bolts are beyond help...
