The water is fairly putrid. I’m sure there’s tons of dead squirrels and other critters down there. It seems to have been open for several years.
I threw a piece of tin over it when I took possession of the property. Some day I’ll get it properly cleaned out, shock it, then test the water.
The trip went way better than expected. This load was at the very top end of my 1/2 tons tow rating. A WD hitch made it drama free though!
After having working the tractor for about almost a week I have chuckled to myself several times remembering your comment of how it appears as though the...
I found an old uncovered well on my property. Not all that creepy, but the random junk thrown in the bottom had my mind wondering if I’d find a body or something when I started cleaning it out.
Thanks again rScotty!
If it all works out I’ll be going to pick it up next Sunday. It’s about 1000km (600mi) trip each way…the joys of living in the boondocks.
Here’s a couple more videos the seller sent me.
Anything stand out to you guys? The loader seems a bit slow to me, but it might not have been revved up.
Can anyone explain the PTO engagement sequence? This is a later model 995 which has a hand clutch for the PTO (I believe). Would it be...
The seller sent me some detailed photos of the loader mount. 4 bolts on the back and two in the front on either side. It’s got a sorta quick detach mechanism for the loader. The crappy looking weld looks like either a repair or something jimmy rigged.
He also fully raised the 3 point with a...
A picture of the right side showed the loader mount a little better. I know little about tractors, other than internet research. Does this look like an appropriate mount?
Thanks for your detailed analysis.
So I was a mechanic in the military for 12 years. That being said, I don’t really have any interest in a “project”. The clearance lighting wiring being a mess doesn’t really scare me off. That would be easy to fix, but chances are I’d just smash it off again...
Also, what would you folks estimate its weight as it sits with the loader and snowblower? The seller states the tires are loaded.
Specs show the base tractor weight of around 5000lbs.
I’d love to! Anything 4wd is 10k+. Most are over 20k.
I’m curious if I could do most of what I need with a good set of tire chains and lots of ballast?
Good day folks!
I’ve been tractor shopping for a little while to assist in developing my 150 acres of bush. Have priced out new Kubota’s but that’s not going to work out.
Primary uses are going to be snow removal of approx 1600’ of drive, driveway building and maintenance, moving brush piles...
