    I attached alligator clips to small 4-wheel battery and on post the knob was pointing to. next, I turned the knob to the left and found the correct pin using a simple tester. did the same for the turn to the right, so problem solved. no big deal. J

    All the replacement switches I have seen at least 6 poles, and my MF 231 has 3 wires to attach. How does one figure out the placement of the wires? Colors are somewhat faded, but they seem to be: Green with Gray stripe, Brown, and Gray or Black. The original switch has 3 poles. Thank you!
