Just did the freeze plugs on my 73 3000 during a clutch job. If it's the two on the rear of block you'll have to split it. If it's the one on the back of head I suppose you can do it without a split but sure seems like it would be hard. I recommend you use permatex 2 as a sealer on the plugs.

My diesel 3000 occasionally knocks at low idle, only after working it hard. During normal operation it doesn't do it. If I raise the throttle some it goes away. I bought it a few months ago, seller said engine was recently overhauled.

I bought a 730 Ford loader (says 19-528 on frame) to add to my Diesel 3000. It just needs paint and fluid/filter change. Question is, since there is no dipstick how do I know what is the right amount? Also, what type of fluid should I use?
