Engine drive shaft coupler to hydraulic pump failure. Need help!

They tend to dry out when they sit on the bench for any length of time. Mine was fine before I had to take it apart. It sat for about 3 months while I managed to repair the coupler between the drive motor and the differential. When I put it all back together it leaked. First a little and after...

Engine drive shaft coupler to hydraulic pump failure. Need help!

If you still have everything apart, you might consider changing the shaft seal on the hydraulic pump as well. I plan on doing that this Spring on my tractor. I found a cross reference number (John Deere p/n E65252). It looks like a relatively easy job.

I think your on the right path. If you lost everything (hoe, power steering, bucket, stabilizers), then you lost connection between your motor and the two hydro pumps. The first pump (closest to the motor) provides fluid to the hydro motor connected directly to the rear differential (Dana 44).

You were looking for tie rod ends as well. Did you ever find a solution?

    Allmand TLB 25K (not hydraulics)

I never had any luck requesting past quotes from AllmandtractorParts. They were never able to source the parts that I needed. I can guarantee that these are generic parts as is almost every other part on these machines. All I can suggest is spend some time, get the necessary measurements and...

Glad to hear it's back together. I had the same wobble issue. I back off the 4 bolts/nuts that hold the hydro motor mounting plate. The ran the tractor (off the ground) back and forth until the motor / plate found its center point. Then I tightened them down and all is good, Ill run it as is...

Tuff Torq K46 - rebuild or just drain/refill oil?

Hello: I have a Deere X300 lawn tractor. It has a Tuff Torq in it. About 3 years ago it started losing power and making lots of hydro noise. I live on a hill with steep slopes and I use a rear bagger for grass, I dropped the rear axle and drained the oil and replaced it with 20-50 synthetic. So...

Thanks for the information. I have that Eaton pdf. Yes, it's a 70145. The identification numbers are stamped somewhere on the case. There are two part numbers for the shaft seal 16253-16 and 16253-216. The 16253-216 is a Viton Seal. I am unable to find a supplier that has either one in stock...

Did you get it put back together yet? I developed a small hydraulic oil leak coming from the front of the pump were it mates with the engine. If your pump is still out of your machine, can you see if there are any identifying numbers. I know its an Eaton pump, but it would be nice to know the...

I use Permatex anti-seize and a little common sense. Pulling the pump off the motor is a real "groin pull". I'm not doing that again, unless I really have to. Same with the hydro motor. You have to remember these machines were intended to be rented out to DYI homeowners thru tool rental...

It's all back together. HJydro pedal is real touchy. The new coupler must be a lot tighter than my old one. This is going to take a little practice. Everything seem back to normal.

I wrote down the exact motor part number, but I can't find it now and I am unable to see it on the tractor. The motor is a Ross ME-18 series. I believe that it is a 21 cu inch displacement. You could always get the shaft replaced if the spines on the motor are messed up. I've used TST Hydraulics...

I used an cordless impact gun. I took the mounting plate for the hydro motor off. That give you a better shot at them. The brake band assembly can stay in place. I also found it easier to disconnect the the brake cable (down by the brake band)so I can get to the bolts that hold the motor...
