    Snow  Sick of the snow...

We're getting pounded by snow here in Upstate NY, we've even recieved some national and international coverage in the media. The city of Oswego and the bigger towns like Mexico and Parish are getting all the attention but there are over a hundred smaller communities like my own that are getting...

Howse 4' RC - can this be right?

I just purchased a Howse 48" Rotary Cutter and took delivery last night. I had my stepfather pick it up from the dealer since it was on his way home from work, and was less than thrilled to find I had to do the final assmbly on it. Anyway, every rotary cutter I've ever seen has a pair of metal...

    Hydraulic toplink on 2015

I thought I’d put a few photos up for anyone thinking of getting a hydraulic toplink for their 2015. I recently purchased mine from Carter & Carter after reading a couple threads and looking at Bigorange121’s photos of his 3015 with a CCM toplink. My biggest concern was whether or not to order...

    Desperate Times Require Desperate Measures...

The flurry of posts lamenting the cost of fuel seems to have died away now that gas is below $2.50 a gallon in many areas, but the sting high prices left in my wallet is hard for me to forget. Like many TBN'ers, I drive a pick-up. In my case it's a small pick-up, a 2WD Dodge Dakota with the 318...

    Got ripped off

Well, after 23 good experiences on ebay, it looks like my hot streak has finally come to an end. I recently bid on and won an auction for a folding keyboard for my old Palm PDA. I paid with Paypal the same day, but so far I haven't recieved the item. I've also sent the seller several emails but...

Rotary Cutter  Rotary cutters - Rhino vs. King Kutter

I'm looking to buy a 48" rotary cutter. The dealer I bought my tractor from sells Rhino implements, and I purchased a 48" box blade from him his winter. It's a nice unit and I'm happy with it so far, but I visited my local TSC this weekend and took a look at the 48" King Kutter box blades... to...

    Sims soft cab on 2015HST

Here are some photos of my new Sims soft cab on my 2015HST. I ordered it through my dealer, Swantak Mahindra in Oneonta, NY, back in the fall, and originally toyed with the idea of installing it myself. As it turned out, the cabs for the 2615 and 3015 were readily available, but the cabs for...

    Ready for winter (well, almost)

Perhaps this should have read "My tractor is ready for winter (almost)", because as the years go by I dread the white stuff more and more. I had the remotes added to my 2015 HST last week and picked up my new Pronovost Puma 54 Saturday afternoon. The remotes work great, I think I'm going to...

    Snowblower  Snowblower help

Strange topic in the beginning of summer, I know, but my plan is to do my research and look around during July, make my decision by mid-August, and have my tractor ready to go for winter by mid-September. Last year we got snow in late October here, and I really don't want to get caught with my...

    Garage sale cultivator

Some friends of ours are having a garage sale this Saturday and asked my wife if she wanted to put some stuff in it. She did, so we loaded up the Dodge and hauled a bunch of junk over there. Well, I walked around to see what they had, and what did my eyes spy ? A Brinley cultivator for a...

    15 series cabs

I thought this might be of interest to any 15 series owners who live in the snowbelt (like me). I see Sims has come out with a line of soft cabs for the 15 series. My dealer told me Mahindra was working with a cab manufacturer on getting a line available, these may be the ones. They seem...

Snapper Grounds Cruiser bed lift install

I installed the power lift bed kit in my Snapper Grounds Cruiser this weekend. I took some photos and had a grand idea of posting a how-to, but its so ridiculouosly simple that it doesn't really warrant much discussion. Basically its install two bolts, plug the unit in, stick the switch through...

NY Farm Show emptied my wallet

Well, here's my story.. early in 2003 I started toying with the idea of buying a compact tractor to replace a bunch of older equipment I'd been muddling along with. I began seriously looking around August, and fortunately I stumbled onto TBN. You folks are great, I learned more from pouring over...

Soft cab for 15 series ?

I see Femco offers a soft cab for the 10 series, does anyone know if there will be a soft cab available for the 15 series down the road ? I don't see where Cub Cadet ever offered a soft cab for the 7205 or 7265, so my guess is that at the moment nobody makes one.
