You Know You Are Old When

You know when you're old when the cops look younger than you do.

What is the best way to level truck when towing?

I use a wd on my 9500# camper with a 2019 GMC 2500. I adjust the spring bars so that the 2" rake is removed leaving the truck level. A friend wound his bars up so tight that the rake was still there. He was all over the road from doing that. Effectively removed too much tongue weight.

Best 3 trucks you've ever owned.

2019 GMC Dmax 2500 Denali---Should have bought one of these years before I did. 2013 GMC 1500 Denali 6.2 AWD --- Probably the most fun truck to drive. 1997 Chevy 1500 4x4--Barely had to do anything to it and traded with 200k on it 2010 GMC SLE 4x4 6.2--Someone ordered it and never picked it up...

    ATV serviceability

I had a 2014 570 Touring that I bought new. I'm kinda with you that the oil filter is in a place that's just out of reach. It was a little bit of a pain. Never had to deal with the battery, Had the dealer put a gel battery in it during a recall visit. It was a great machine and never gave me...

    Trailer painting

I generally use 3M clean and strip for rust removal. A little spendy but worth it imho.

    Polaris RZR 800 or 570

Sorry I missed your post. Bought a 2022 RZR Trail. Only real purpose for it is recreation. I have an RTV1100 for hauling. So far I like it except for the jerky clutch. Guess there are fixes for that but it's good so far.

    Transmission warranty advise wanted

I had that happen with a gasser once. Me & the shop met halfway on the trans r&r and I pad for the flywheel. Go in easy at first, they may work with you.

    Best wax/compound for truck scratches

You're right. I buffed cars for years and you really do have to go out of your way to burn through the paint---provided it hasn't been buffed a million times or heavily wet sanded.

    2019-2020 Ram CP-4 pump replacement

Right, they also mentioned extra filters. Thankfully they put the fuel filter under the bed on my 19 Dmax so it isn't terrible.

    2019-2020 Ram CP-4 pump replacement

Guys I know with CP4's in Dmax's swear by installing a lift pump to take some of the heat of the CP4. I have no personal experience with this but it seems to be a very popular add-on and they say it works well. Just throwing out what I've heard.

Inflated Prices. Buying Used vs. New.

I'm not a fan of debt either...However liquidity is more important to me...I normally put at least 50% down and finance the rest to be paid of in less than 2 years--Sometimes faster if it's a toy. This way I keep most of my liquid funds and I have an easy-out if I have to sell it for some...

Inflated Prices. Buying Used vs. New.

Actually, unless yo know the previous owner and how the machine was used/maintained I'm of the general opinion that buying new makes good financial sense..That's all I've done in the past 20 years. I agree it hurts at first but it give some degree of peace of mind as time goes on. Just my $.02...

is a standard gate enough for B2920 TLB?

I have a Rice 16' Utility with a gate--Have loaded my BX23 with FEL/BH& 54: belly mower on the gate and never had a problem except I have to play around with the load angle a bit. Also have had my RTV1100 on there numerous times but that's probably lighter. 594675

current (11/5/22) recommendation for small air compressor for tires etc.

I have 2 Ryobi's I carry in a bag..Both 18v. One is a small tank compressor, the other is a digital inflator. Home Despot stuff. I'm pretty happy with them and they are fairly cheap.
