Same here with my 3039r. I replaced the fronts with Galaxy Garden Pros. Took a lot of the jounce out. Liked them so much I replaced the rears also. It rides a heck of a lot better now.

The pins in the male end of the connector are extremely small. It's not like a RIO switch on a lawn mower where you can use spade type connectors. Plus, I need to be able to plug it back up as it left the factory if it goes in for warranty service. Also, while mowing, if you hit a hard bump...

That might just work if they have pins small enough to clip on the male connector. I would still rather have that short factory connector if I could ever find it.

I've been trying to find the part number for the harness that goes from the tractor side to the seat switch. That short piece shouldn't cost much but so far I haven't found it.

Mine's not like that. The owners manual says it you raise up out of the seat, the PTO should shut off. If mid PTO is running and you raise up out of the seat, engine will shut off.

Oops, forgot about this. It was the vacuum line for the fuel pump.

The surging at full throttle on my LA145 was caused by a small crack in the vacuum line.

Local dealer said they would try to get one in to look at. But the deck concerns me. With the LA 145, I can get the deck under the fence just a little to mow the grass in between posts. Not sure I can do that with the X 584 as the wheels look like they're too close to the edge of the deck.

I'd say my biggest problem will be finding one to look at. Glad to hear the transaxle is rugged. I used to use the Poulan Pro (Hydro Gear) to pull with, but that's my hillside mower I'm trying to keep running. The LA 145 does excellent job cutting grass, except when it's wet. Are the spindles...
