    New to me 5103

I've committed to buying a 2008 MFWD 5103 and a new 553 loader with the skid steer front mount. I have a Bobcat Toolcat and need something with a little more lift capacity for feeding big hay bales. 5103 has 235 hours so basically new, I'll be having some fun testing it out, even tho I'm not...

    5103 & 553 FEL

I found & bought a used 5103 without a FEL and am getting a 553 loader for it. Just curious how much it takes to put the loader on? Tractor has the hydraulics & joy stick for it, so is it basically bolt it on and plug the lines in? Dealer wants $200 to do it and I'm thinking that's enuff.

    Buying Advice  TRACTOR SHOPPING-grrrrrrrrr

I've been looking for a tractor to do some lite farming but mainly moving 1500-1800 pound hay bales with a 3 point &/or loader and some dirt work. Like to keep it small & stable enuff to handle my hills, and 4wd. I have a Bobcat toolcat and like it, but need something with more lifting...

Tractor Sizing  1500-1800 pound hay bales

Will the Bobcat tractors (ct440-ct4500) handle 1500-1800 pound hay bales on the 3 point? Dealer says it would be real close. Trying to get an idea if I can use one before i spend the $. THANKS

    Bobcat CT450 price?

I have a price quote on a used 2009 Ct450 with 72 hrs. Includes cab, FEL and bucket quoted at $25,000. Just wondering if it was worth it to go new or basically get the cab free. THANKS

    Broken rear axle

Using my broom to move some snow yesterday and apparently hit something and broke the left rear axle. Appears like it broke a joint inside the inner cv boot where it comes out of the rear end housing. Talked to the shop and they said it probably wouldn't hurt it to drive it a little. Need to...

    Fuel filter=pain in the ****

Changed the fuel filter on my D model today, what a pain. 2 1/2 hours of cussing and bleeding knuckles got it done, but dang. No wrench supposed to be used to install, YEA tell the guy that installed the original. Basically had to cut the dang thing off. Tight quarters and filter wrenches...

Any one using the sicle bar mower?

Looking at getting the sicle bar mower from Skid Steer Solutions and interested in any information from current users. I have some roads to mow and some grass that would make hay, so those would be the main uses along with maintaining my 5 acre outter yard. THANKS!!!

    New owner

Took the toolcat for a spin around my property this weekend and was impressed enough that when I returned it to the dealer I told him to put a block heater, & mirror on it and put some "slime' in the tires to keep them from going flat so easily and I'd buy it. Tried to get a better price, but...

    looking at a toolcat

Been lurking around here for a few months and have got some good information, but need a little more. I've found a D series at a local dealer that has a decent price, but it doesn't have some of the options and I was wondering what others thoughts were on the importance of these. 1.- Worklights...
