    Earth's Hottest Month

Maybe so, but you will notice there is not as much quicksand now as there was in all the TV shows from the 60s and 70s. Definite proof of a warming trend.

    Generator Issues

I did not read all the threads, so not sure if this angle has been covered. If it has done it in the past and can’t do it now, then either the load has changed or the generator has changed. Most likely scenarios is that the fuel in the genny is crap. pull the carb bowl and look at the fuel, most...

Estimate of the Cost of Welding

I have a 2 hour minimum at my fab shop. $250 minimum repair cost. That said, I generally fix my friends and neighbors stuff free. I had one friend who insisted that he pay. I told him what the minimum charge was, he was a lot less insistent, and very grateful.

Ford 9N - Retrieve it or Leave it?

My first tractor was an 8N. It had tons of things wrong with it. Mostly labor and new gaskets and seals. It was a fun project. I used it to maintain my road and for work at my cabin. That FEL is a monster to steer with a load in the bucket. I eventually took mine off and sold it. A rear scoop is...

    Anvil “repair” issue

It is easy to tell a lot of you guys have never really used an anvil. Mild stell doesn’t cut it for heavy use. A couple weekends a tear, no problem. I have owned maybe a dozen. The anvils with tool steel tops are vastly superior to soft tops. My current anvil is a 275# Trenton with a tool...

    Bending a bucket cutting edge.

I need to replace the cutting edge on the bucket of my Case 530. The original was a 1/2"x 3" single bevel, weld on cutting edge. I hunk 3" is a little too skinny, and 1/2" is a little too thin. I am hoping to find a 5/8"x4"or5" edge to use. The original has bent up sides, which I like, but don't...

Box blade repair and brands ??

I got this box blade when I bought my tractor. It is very near a Gannon, but some of the parts don't quite match. It has a round front tube, and the linkage is quite different. There is lettering on the sides B---R. The on lat word I can come up with is Bexar, as in Bexar Texas. Could make...

Looking for Case 530 lift links

I am trying to find some lift link and leveling box for my case 530, or if anyone know of a different brand that fits. Thanks,

My NEW Case 530 utility tractor

Some years ago I sold the '48 Ford 8N that I used around my house. I had it up at my place in the mountains, but it was not heavy enough to do work up there. Also with the well worn motor, it barely had enough guts to pull itself up the mountain, much less a load of dirt. I also sold my Cat...
