I like the way your BH mounts high. Gives you clearance when using the loader. How deep does it dig? My guess would be 6.5'

Here's a Beaver III I bought at the junk yard.

It looks really rough, didn't run and I paid more than I should've.

But I like it.

I found a few air leaks in the fuel system.

Put a used battery on it.

Replaced a freeze plug and a new radiator cap.

Three tubes, crossed my fingers and fired it up.

It runs good, the clutch is strong and it drives around in first. Only.

Once I get a look at the gear boxes I'll be consulting the Tractorbynet.com gurus as to what the loud grinding/rattling is in the back end.

The PTO works but the lift doesn't come up and the shifter won't put it into any other gears.

Here's a picture and a link to it running.

I think this is just like the one I bought used. I need a hydraulic oil filter, any idea about where I can find one? I've been looking online without any success. If you can point me in the right direction, to a dealer or to a site, I'd appreciate it. I put a post in the hydraulics section of this site in hopes to reach out to someone who might know where I can get one. If you can help me out with the info, I'd appreciate if you could post it there. Thanks! H. Kuenzli

The filter on these is a fine mesh tube screen that you remove, clean and put it back in. It is located on the right side at the bottom of the rear case. I think it has two bolts holding it in. The only time you'd need a replacement is if the screen has a hole in it.
