I was looking at this list and noticed you didn't put down the part numbers for any of the various manufactures of the Starter. As I was looking at RockAuto, I noticed that there were two different parts, one for the manual transmission and one for the automatic transmission.

Do you or anyone know which is actually the match for the starter on the Beaver? I assume the housing is slightly different based upon the bell housing it is mating up with.

There's an old post somewhere on the forum on a replacement for the starter solenoid for the Beaver. It's a good match, but has to be slightly rotated to fit. The rotation still allows the wire from the starter to connect to this solenoid. The solenoid was listed for a 1985 Mitsubishi Mighty Max 2.3L engine. L-4. diesel.

Holy smokes, when I got mine from Rock Auto, it was a closeout and cost about $20.00. I just looked up the same solenoid on Rock Auto, and there were two listed, one for $120.79 and another for 89.79. Seems like a bad second choice now. I think I would now in a pinch, purchase one for another Mitsubishi from 1985 and compare it with the original.

The dodge he was talking about had the 2.6 L 4cyl which was a mitsu engine.

I would like to add an oil filter number: Hastings LF402

On the subject of oil filters, I needed a filter for my Subaru and one for my Beaver. Same filter. :D NAPA 1334, same as WIX 51334.

Your list shows the alternator from older ford courier as a good replacement. I'd ad that if you ever run into one of these in a junk yard (or the Mazda equivalent) cut out the majority of the under hood electrical plugs. Your tractor plugs are the same as these. I was able to replace the plug on my alternator and from the switches by just swapping out the pins.

I would like to know about the starter as well since mine is starting to take a dump on me. Anyone know exactly which one will work?

I don't know about a replacement starter but I have a Buck and a grey 3 cyl. Beaver. When I have starter trouble I take it to a local starter/alternator shop.
