s370d clutch problem

I had some hydraulic fluid leaking from a hydraulic that was attached to a front mounted blade so I took it off, lost some fluid when i did. Afterward i parked it for a week or so, and now the clutch isnt working.
So i started adding fluid under the seat, and into the gearbox by the shifter. When i looked in by the shifter is looked really low so i kept adding til it was pretty close to the top.
Im using 303 to fill also.
There was no result, after pumping and letting it run, even taking it for a little ride in 1low.

Any ideas, i am not really familiar with this tractor and just got it recently. I had a loboy with a bad clutch i just sold because i didnt want to fool with it. I really hope this is an easy fix.

The clutch on the Beaver is a dry unit. Being low or out of transmission fluid will not keep the machine from driving. Does the tractor grind gears if you try to engage the transmission with the clutch out? Has the clutch storage lock been activated?

I'm not clear on how you can take a "little ride" if the clutch doesn't work. What exactly is the issue?

It grinds when i try to put it in gear. I dont know that i tried it with the clutch pedal not depressed, but if i put it in low range with the throttle down i could slip it into first or reverse, which is how i got it to "take a little ride" you can do that in about anything with synchronized gears, or so i believe, if you are quick about it.
I dont know anything about a storage lock or how it is engaged. All i know is it worked perfectly when i shut it off, then a week later it wont.

That makes more sense now. Your clutch is either stuck, or worn out. Put an implement on, like a disk or box blade, if you have them. Start the tractor in gear, to save the grinding, and get somewhere you can lower the implement. Get it to bite into the soil, then depress the clutch pedal.

It should "pop" free if it is bonded to the flywheel. Let it run for a couple seconds with the clutch in, then slowly let the clutch back out. Easing it out slowly should burn off any corrosion.

The storage lock is a little metal tab that swings over when the clutch pedal is held down, it locks into a notch on the pedal and keeps the pedal pushed in and the clutch disengaged. This keeps it from rusting onto the flywheel and then not disengaging. In moist or humid conditions it's a good idea to use it when the tractor is going to sit.

and you over filled the transmission/hydraulic case when you filled it to the top. Look on Valley powers website for a diagram of where the plug is. its on the driver side of the trans case
