I had posted a similar thread in the Yanmar sub-forum, but Kensnelling recently posted some new-to-me numbers for the PTO speeds on his D2000. Since I have a D1800 and have always wondered about the PTO speeds, I was excited to see his numbers:

D2000:
1 - 540 rpm
2 - 753 rpm
3 - 998 rpm
4 - 1284 rpm

Here are the rest of the Mitsubishi notes I have, mostly cut and pasted from postings elsewhere.

S370 Beaver: 537, 791, 1297, according to brochure

"S470 buck: According to the manual, at 2700 rpm:

First..........565
Second......832
Third........1,000

Standard PTO speed: 540 pto rpm/2,580 engine rpm (first)
1,000 pto rpm/1979 engine rpm (third)"

Buck is covered in same manual and is very similar to ST1450

D1850 1-540
2-752 rpm
3-997 rpm
4-1282 rpm

(Unknown quotes)
"According to my owner's manual for the S-370D, standard PTO speeds are 517, 762 and 1249 @ 2700 engine rpm. Optional speeds are 537, 791 and 1297 @ 2700 rpm. Optional speeds are with the 1 3/8 inch PTO shaft vs. the standard 0.98 inch"

"MT372 manual states it 2 ways:
1st 565 rpm/2700 engine rpm
2nd 832 rpm/2700 engine rpm
3rd 1364 rpm/2700 engine rpm

or, in the more coventional fashion:

540 rpm/2580 engine rpm
1000 rpm/1979 engine rpm"

D2300:
1 - 555 rpm
2 - 774 rpm
3 - 1026 rpm
4 - 1320 rpm

"Mt160 as MT180,and D's

The manual says;

1st=623@2700rpm(engine)
2nd=919@ "
3rd=1506 "

also says;
1st=540rpm@2660
3rd=1000 @1793
(no mention of 2nd)"

Here is the link to the other thread, with additional Yanmar and grey market Kubota tractor information. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/yanmar/244500-pto-speeds.html

Good info, can you add what rotation (cw or ccw) those tractors are?

I would like to add that the numbers I have are at an indicated 2450 engine rpm on the tractor's tachometer. The pto speeds I measured with my digital non contact tachometer. I did not, however, use my digital tachometer to verify the reading on the tractor tachometer.

As you can see from the above posting there is a wide range of pto speeds at different engine rpms, depending on tractor model. Since there are so many differences I suggest checking your own tractor. I used a HF 41727 digital tachometer (which has apparently been discontinued) to check my tractor. HF does have another tach similar to the one I have that is very reasonably priced.

Digital Photo Sensor Tachometer

It was interesting to see that 284international listed PTO speeds for a D1850 that were almost identical to what I got (less than 1% difference). Wish it listed engine speed for those pto speeds though. For what it's worth, my
D2000 has the 1 3/8" 6 spline pto output shaft.

So far as I know, all Mitsubishi/Satohs except some S370 and D13/1500 tractors have conventionally rotating PTOs. Apparently some S370 tractors are clockwise, however.

Some Suzue tractors and Kubota's B6000 are CCW on the PTO too, as well as the International Harvester Cubs.

All Yanmars and Kubota's except the B600, so far as I know, have clockwise PTOs.

Obviously I don't know everything, so there may be some outliers or exceptions of which I am ignorant.

The S370 tractors that are clockwise have a Mitsubishi or aftermarket reverser gear box.

Question,

My 370 has a conventional 6 spline CW rotating PTO, you say it must have a reverser. Ok, I'm cool with that statement as there is a large bolt on cover that the PTO comes out of. Just thought it was the gear cover. If I do have a reverser, does that change the PTO output speeds? I've asked several times and it's never been answered. Having all those gears could certainly change things around.

I was overheating when I first got the little tractor. I was hauling *** with a 48" shredder. I kept the tractor in 3high and the PTO in it's highest setting. Obviously this was incorrect. I've since changed to to 3 high with the PTO in it's lowest setting and it doesn't overheat until the radiator gets full of seeds and such. But I've always wondered if a reverser might also change the PTO speed. The 370 does not come with a tach.

The bolt on cover is the reverser. It is a 1-1 ratio. Your shredder is probably 540 rpm, so running it at 1000 rpm would make the tractor work a lot harder plus wouldn't be good for the shredder.
