Battery for Mitsubishi D1600

My dad gave me his tractor, a Mitsubishi D1600. He said it hasn't been started in a while and needs a new battery. I can not find anywhere what size battery it uses. I was hoping my local tractor dealer could help me but he expected me to give him that information so that he could sell me a battery. If anyone has this information it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a 1600 but most of the Mitsubishis that size take a group 51. Take some measurements and go to the Interstate or other battery website and fit it that way.

I would get the largest CCA rating that physically fits in your tractor. Best to measure it with a tape measure and bring the tape to the store as some batteries have extra ribs and bumps and stuff on them.
