Beaver III clutch will not release

Everything was fine then after I parked the tractor outside covered with a tarp for a few weeks it started fine but could not get it in gear. Shut it off and put it in first gear ant started it with the clutch pushed in and the tractor started in gear with the tractor moving. The clutch is stuck somehow. Any suggestions?

See if you have a clutch pan directly under the flywheel.---if so block down pedal and tap on the plate with punch real careful and it should pop loose.

No pan on this one. You might try blocking the clutch down with the latch that's on the linkage. Drive around with the pto in gear and with a mower on it or other pto implement such as a tiller. If you are lucky it will pop loose.

Is there a rubber plug in the side of the clutch housing? I know my Isekis have them but I can't remember if my S373 does. I freed a clutch once by popping the plug out and wedging a putty knife between the clutch disk and the flywheel in a couple different spots. Unfortunately there were bigger problems with the clutch (wasn't sliding on the spline) that freeing it with a putty knife through the plug hole just wouldn't fix.

Redneck remedy for stuck clutch- nose it onto a sturdy tree with clutch pedal depressed, and let the engine torque break the clutch loose. Good luck.
