Jeremy, I don't think you got burned at all if the tractor is in good shape. I have owned one for several years and have had no major troubles. It will run hours on a tank of fuel. As with any compact tractor be careful about tipping over. The PTO is not live, meaning if you are running the brush hog and step on the clutch the brush hog will continue to turn and push the tractor. I installed an over-running clutch from NAPA on mine to prevent this, the implement continues to turn, but the tractor stops.
