Of course. You did a hole 3 or 4 feet deep, dig a ramp down into it, move the backhoe down into the hole, then dig on down from there.

If it's a big enough hole, diameter wise, you can keep working you way down.

very good ,thanks. would it have the reach to bring the dirt up out of the ramp or do u have to truck it out?

It would depend on how deep you are, I guess.
