Default Front Grill Guard for 4340C

I was just wondering if there is a factory grill guard or after market grill guard for the Montana tractors. I would like to purchase one because I have noticed when lifting snow that some falls down on to the grill. I just dont want anything heavier like rocks or dirt to fall on it and denting the grill.

There is an aftermarket grill guard for the Montana Curved Loader.

The part Number is (MGGU1)

This part fits all 43/49 model tractors with the curved loader

Thanks for the part number. Do you have a picture that I could look at to determine if I will by one or try to make one. And do know what one might cost. Thanks

Albitron - do you know whether or not it would fit a 2740 with the curved loader?

JDeerekid: I will try to get some pics posted of the guards.

uphere: The 2740 has one available. Part number MGGC1
That part fits all compacts prior to the R series tractor.

Check with your dealers folks. Should be a grill guard available for every LG tractor that Montana has.

I had my dealer order me a grill guard. Should be here sometime this week. The reason I asked about the grill guard here is that my dealer called someone at motana and they told him that they don't make one. So I gave him the part number from here and he called back and they said we will send one right out. He is giving it to me at his cost becuase he has never seen one before.

he also asked about the grill guard at the big meeting that all the dealers went to and they did not have one grill guard on any tractor there and he took a picture of every single thing there.

I will post pictures as soon as i get it and put it on.

Thanks

Sorry to hear about the bad communication! There is a guard available for every tractor as far as I know with the exception of the T2334 and T2734. Some DID have the guards on the sides if dealer installed, but spacers had to be built in order for them to clear the hood. I was lucky and ordered my loaders not installed so my tractors all have the grill guards. I did contact Montana on the availability of the grill guards for the small T series, and was told they are not available, but any other Montana, you should be able to get a grill guard for.

Glad you checked on here!!

Ken - does that mean if you have a loader on you can't also put on a grill guard (for the 2740 with the curved loader)?
