Default 4340C 3pt Hitch problem or not?

I just put my bush hog on for the first time on this tractor and ran it for about 20 minutes before I started hearing a noise in the 3pt hitch. It is only when I lift it. It sounds like when you lift for loader all the way and hold the lever, it whines. I checked the hydraulic fluid level and it is fine. I see no leaks either. I have just over 50 hours with no problems prior.
Does it have something to do with the draft control? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

I am still having this noise. I have put my tiller on and after about 15 or 20 minutes of use it whines when lifting. Same with cultivator and brush hog. Is this common? Is it because the hydraulics are getting to hot? Should there be a heavier oil in the tractor?
I just don't want to break anything. Thanks

My 4940 did this when I first got it. My brush hog would also surge up and down when it was held up by my hydraulics. It turned out to be some sort of valve adjustment. I blew out a hydraulic line around the same time. I am not sure if it was related though. Sorry I am not more help.

I have 700 hrs on my 4340C, 1 loader hose, 1 A/C hose. had loader hose made locally, got A/C hose shipped to me in 2 days. no other problems. great machine, had bigger problems with a Kabota ( front wheel bearing and race) New holland, Forw/Rev bellcrank weld broke, no warrenty, both had other minor issues, both at similar hrs to Montana.

Don't worry, be happy with your Montana.

Gavman - my tractor is not surging at all just after a while of running it, it wants to make its whining sound just when you raise the 3pt hitch. I just didn't know if this is common as the tractors hydraulic oil heats up.

soggybottom - I have just over 50hrs on my tractor so far the only problems where after about 10 hours a fuel injector line was leaking, just had to give it about a 1/2 turn to tighten (no leak since). Left rear window window hinge was cracked from dealer (didn't notice it until I went to open the window) dealer replaced under warrenty. And the small hydraulic line that is connected to the loader control valve to the tractor cracked. That cost me $45 to fix becuase of the special steel elbow and it had to be exact to the original becuase there is no room for excess line. Probably could of got it fixed under warrenty but didn't want to bug dealer about a small line until I found out the price but oh well. Gonna get its 50hr service soon in the next week hopefully. I just didn't know if the noise is normal or not.
