Well I finally have got my loader lifting issue fixed.
I have a 4940 that I purchased new last fall and always felt that it could not even come close to lifting the published capacity. The mechanic came out to fix a different issue and when I asked him to look at the lifting issue he knew what to do .It was a very simple fix by adjusting the relief valve on the side of the hydraulic manifold. Hope that this may help others. Montana Green |

I had the same problem with my 4340C. I couldn't lift a pallet of wood pellets with weighs 2000#'s. My dealer explained to me that there was an adjustment that could be made because they leave it on the low side from the factory. he came out when he had to replace one of the rear window hinges and adjusted the valve and I can lift more than a ton now with the right amount of weight on the rear.
